Beijing Union University, established upon the approval of the Ministry of Education of the People’s Republic of China in 1985, is a comprehensive municipal university of Beijing. BUU originated from over 30 branch campuses attached to such universities as Peking University and Tsinghua University. In response to the municipal as well as national demands in social and economic development, BUU takes it as a primary goal to cultivate high-quality practical talents.
For 30-odd years BUU has been reinforced comprehensively as a result of the establishment of a complete talent-cultivating system. Under this system, numerous disciplines support one another through coordinated development, including economics, management, liberal arts, law, science, engineering, pedagogy, history, and medicine. Currently, BUU is one of the largest universities in Beijing, concentrating on undergraduate programs while promoting coordinated development of postgraduate studies, vocational higher education, continuing education and international education.

Founded in 2004, BUU Union of Students Associations is a student organization under the direct guidance of BUU Youth League Committee, responsible for the administration and development of multi-functional and diversified associations in literature & arts, professional practice, science & technology, hobbies of diversified kinds and athletic sports. The union aims to fully stimulate the initiative and creativeness of various associations and their members, to organize a wide range of activities in a colorful, tasty, valuable and meaningful way, and to boost students’ ability of study, application, organization and innovation.
Volunteer Service
Volunteer service is a major means for BUU students to contribute to promoting spiritual civilization and self-development as well as an important manifestation of their values to engage themselves in the society, contribute to the society and repay the society. In recent years, the concept of “Dedicating Whole-heartedly, Growing up Joyfully” has been deeply rooted among BUU students.

| Accommodation | On average, a single room student dormitory accommodation will cost about RMB 1500 per month, or about RMB 18,000 per year, including utilities. |
| Food | A meal at the university canteen/restaurant or in a fast-food restaurant outside would cost about RMB 7 to RMB 30. The average monthly bill for students that will study in Beijing, China can be between the range of RMB 1800 to RMB 4000. |
| Transportation | A one-way local transport ticket in Beijing costs about RMB 4. The taxi start rate costs about RMB 13, plus the additional taxi rate per kilometer of about RMB 2.30. A monthly transport pass for university students in Beijing would cost around RMB 200. |
| Extra costs: | Some extra costs for university students who will study in Beijing, China are books and study materials around RMB 210 to RMB 350 per month (increased costs for those studying Sciences, Medicine, or Art), and medical insurance of about RMB 400 per six months. |

Application process:
Applying Online is simple in just a few steps. More information is available here.
The first steps are to choose the programs, pay the application fee and upload the application documents.
Once submitted to China Admissions, we will review your application within 2-3 days and proceed to the university or ask you for further clarification
After it has been processed to the university you will receive your unique application ID from each university.
The university may contact you directly for further questions.
We will then follow up each week with the university for updates. As soon as there is any update we will let you know. If you have made other plans, decide to withdraw / change address at any time please let us know.
After you have been accepted you will receive your admissions letter electronically and asked to pay the non-refundable deposit to the university.
Once you have paid the deposit the university will issue you the admissions letter and visa form to your home country.
